10 Prague Spa Hotels

Once I've answered a question about 20 times then I figure it needs a post. Most of the top hotels in Prague will have some kind of Wellness area.Sometimes this is restricted to a gym and a jacuzzi so below I list my favourite hotels in the city both large and small that are also great spa hotels as well.I try an include as much detail as possible about each like the city district location, spa content and any unique stuff. You don't have to be resident in the hotel to book a spa treatment but it's a better experience if you are so I'll point out places where you should go if the spa is the priority and others where it's a nice option to have.If you've never tried it before then where it says"Swedish"that is a relaxing whole body massage so allow at least an hour (most would call this a classic massage)."Shihatsu"is more about identifying specific points of the body to release energy and involves some stretching."Thai"is great for joint pain and muscle knots and has the most amount of stretching. There are several other options in the city but consider these ones first,so in no particular order:

Hotel Mandarin – Lesser Town

I consider this to be the best of all the Prague Spa Hotels in the city. It's clearly been designed into the building as opposed to being added on as an afterthought. It's a total experience from the moment you arrive at what was a 14th Century church. It offers a comprehensive list of treatments from pampering to sports massages spread over 3 separate suites. Two of the suites can be configured for couplesand the third, although a single, offers a private"vitality bath".Sauna, steam shower,Asian/Thai,pre/post-natal and cosmetic options.

Hotel Intercontinental – Old Town

What I like about the Intercontinental is that it's one of the bigger Prague Spa Hotels that offers simple packages along with it's specific treatments. If you are looking for a straightforward body massage plus a ritual and haveday access to their full wellness areawhich includes the large pool, sauna and jacuzzi then this is for you.好”Frequent Flyer"option.

Hotel Pariz – Old Town

This is what I call an add-on but it has a lot going for it.It's one of the smaller Prague Hotel Spas but guests have free use of the centre including jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and plunge pool and you can book the spa facilities privately per hour.A good selection of massage treatments, head, body and reflexology only for one at a time but most you have a choice of 30 mins or 60 mins. It's agood option for people who want a classic hotel,in this case Art Nouveau style, with a nice restaurant (Sarah Bernhardt) plus the option of Spa facilities.

Hotel Carlo IV – New Town

Not widely known but theCarlo IV is part of the Marriott Groupso you can use your membership points here. It's possibly the most beautiful of the Prague Hotel Spas with a large pool that contains whirlpools, there's a dry sauna and steam bath. They do a variety of massages and treatments. The majority of the massage treatments are either 60 minutes or 90 minutes and you get free day-entry to the spa area.Otherwise you pay for a basic 30 minute massage and two hours in the spa.Lots of different options.Massage for couples is possible. All in all it's similar to the Intercontinental but with a more complicated pricing.

Hotel Kings Court – New Town

Not quite the standard of the Mandarin but pretty close. They aim for the"whole experience"not just the massage or the treatment.Guests with"Executive"rooms or suites have free access to the spa areaor if you buy a massage/treatment which is at lease 75 minutes then you get a day-pass.The spa is open 12 hours a day and the fitness area is non-stop.Sauna,jacuzzi,steam room and plunge pool plus a smart little relaxion area.Of all the Prague Spa Hotels I think this is very reasonably priced for the massage/treatments and there are various cosmetic options as well.

Hotel Absolutum 4* – Holesovice

I've recommended Absolutum as a great place to stay if you are driving here and if you are happy to take the metro in and out of town and I'm also recommending it as one of my Prague Spa Hotels. It has one of the largest Finnish saunas in the cityso if you like room to stretch out and not feel like you're in a little box then this is for you.It has both a private massage area for one which with the opening of a door becomes a massage area for a couple.Private jacuzzi as well.Lots of massage options and competitive pricing.
